£500,000 investment for Hand Stadium

£500,000 investment for Hand Stadium

Everyone Active, the trading name for Sports Leisure Management, has been awarded a 10-year lease contract to manage Clevedon’s Hand Stadium in partnership with the stadium’s private owner Mark Lewis.

The contract is the first private project without local council involvement for Everyone Active, which manages more than 100 facilities across the country, in partnership with over 37 local authorities.

This new initiative will see Everyone Active invest more than £500,000 into Clevedon Hand Stadium. The majority of the investment will be spent on converting one of the stadium’s interior grand stands into a new 50-plus station gym and indoor cycling and group exercise studio.

The new gym and exercise studio will contain equipment from Technogym, and will be one of the first Everyone Active centres to offer virtual indoor cycling and group exercise classes, supplied and installed by Lightmasters UK.

The Clevedon Hand Stadium already offers 3G five-a-side football pitches, used by Clevedon Town Football Club. Everyone Active has pledged to utilise the stadium’s exterior grounds by holding more outdoor community events. The stadium will be renamed the Everyone Active Stadium as part of the contract.
