£3.6m redevelopment for Bradley Stoke

£3.6m redevelopment for Bradley Stoke

Work is due to get underway next month on a £3.6m project to transform leisure facilities at Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre in Bristol.

Createability and Alliance Leisure Services are leading the project. Their brief is to design a health and leisure space that provides an innovative, social and exciting environment to inspire local families to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

The new facilities at Bradley Stoke include a major expansion of the fitness suite from 85 to 106 stations, a number of new studios including a large 270sq m room and a 150sq m multi-purpose exercise studio, a new 12-station toning suite, enhanced soft play facilities and designated party rooms, along with a 17-station adventure climbing experience. The café will benefit from an extension, while changing areas will be refurbished and additional parking spaces created.

The centre also features a 25m swimming pool, bubble pool, small learner pool, a six-badminton court main sports hall and two squash courts, as well as physiotherapy rooms, In Trim Hairdressing Salon, Bliss Nail and Beauty Salon and a library.

Alliance are acting as the development partner to the council, and Createability as the appointed leisure, design and build specialist to design and carry out the construction works. The project is expected to take approximately 12 months.
