AccorHotels to launch 50 ‘open house’ venues
AccorHotels has launched a new brand that combines the private-rental, hostel and hotel formats.The group plans to open 50 of the new Jo&Joe venues by 2020 with sites located in city centres close to public transport and less than 15 minutes away from the major points of interest.
The new brand is designed to appeal to the millennials market and will offer accommodation solutions for people travelling alone, in pairs, groups or as a family. The venues will feature modular sleeping areas, rooms and apartments for two to five people, with private bathrooms, as well as a kitchen space depending on the format.
For people travelling alone, each venue will offer different accommodation formats such as yurts, hammocks and caravans.
The ‘open house’ concept will promote interaction with a private area where guests can relax, work, cook or wash their clothes as well as a collaborative kitchen where they can cook their own meals. Other facilities include a restaurant concept and bar.
