Langley hotel to reopen after four-year restoration
The Langley will reopen to the public this summer following a major restoration of the Duke of Marlborough’s former country estate.
Located in the Langley Park estate in Buckinghamshire, the 41-room boutique hotel and 1,600sq m spa comprises two buildings, a historic mansion that was once the estate of the Duke of Marlborough and a Grade II-listed 18th century building that was formerly used as a stables and brew house. In partnership with interior design company Dennis Irvine Studio, the buildings have been undergoing a multi-million-pound renovation over the last four years.
The hotel’s interior design carefully balances the history of the building with contemporary luxury while creating a number of bespoke design features. A number of bedrooms are housed in The Brewhouse, which is opposite the entrance of the main hotel, where the former owners concocted their own local brew.
The 1,600sq m spa offers five treatment rooms, a VIP suite with dip pools, as well as a women’s only thermal area. Other facilities include a gym and personal training facility designed in partnership with fitness author Matt Roberts, which includes a Cryotherapy Centre. The property’s original Winter Garden has also been refurbished and reconfigured for weddings and events.
