£15m super-tech minigolf concept launches this spring

£15m super-tech minigolf concept launches this spring

The team behind the social gaming concepts such as Top Golf, Bounce and Flight Club has created Puttshack, a super-tech indoor minigolf experience, which makes its debut this April in Westfield.

The £15m food, drink and technology concept aims to combine sporting activities with technology to create an immersive social gaming experience. The concept, which has taken seven years to develop, features a patented ball tracking and scoring technology, which allows a new level of gameplay - from prize holes to Super Tubes. A mini-computer inside the ball monitors and shares video highlights from each round making scorecards and cheating a thing of the past.

“It has been our ambition to create the best minigolf experience in the world and we believe Puttshack delivers just that. Our Trackaball™ technology has enabled us to take minigolf and transform it into something completely revolutionary,” says Adam Breeden, founder and CEO of Bounce.

A second Puttshack is set to launch in March 2019 at No 1 Poultry. The £5.5m development will occupy 21,000sq ft within the basement of the listed building, which is undergoing extensive refurbishment set for completion this spring.

A third site is scheduled to open as part of the £73m extension at intu Lakeside within the next 12 months.
