£1.2m leisure expansion at Springfields Outlet

Sanderson Leisure and Retail (SLR), which is overseeing the running of Springfields Outlet in Lincolnshire, is investing £1.2m into expanding its leisure offer in the East of England.

The work, due for completion in early summer, aims to provide an extensive range of attractions to complement the mixed-use destination’s retail offer.

The leisure attractions, which will be branded as Springfields Adventure Land, will include the UK’s largest JCB Young Drivers Zone, a tree-top village, a Dino mini golf course, gold panning at Goldie’s Gold Mine, and a miniature railway and over-ground train track named Springy’s Railroad and Adventure Land Express. The development is aimed at new, more affluent, customers.

Ian Sanderson, director of SLR, said: “By introducing more innovative leisure attractions, we will appeal to even more families, creating a forward thinking and innovative destination which will delight tourists and customers looking for a great day out, with plenty of variety to entice them back, again and again.”
