Center Parcs village take shape

Center Parcs village take shape

A new restaurant concept and ‘upside down’ lodges will form part of Center Parcs’ new Woburn Forest village, which opens in spring 2014.

Specifically designed for the new village, the Shearing House restaurant will feature a number of different zones. Guests can socialise indoors on large, comfy sofas, or share platters with friends at the communal kitchen tables. There is also an outdoor terrace offering views of the forest.

Meanwhile, the operator has evolved the design of its accommodation to offer modern family living. Executive Lodges are being built with an upside down design, with the main living area on the first floor offering guests panoramic views across the woodland. This design has been created to nestle within the landscape following the contours of the land.

The lodges feature large windows and patio doors looking out into the forest to make the most of the landscape.

Woburn Forest will be Center Parcs’ fifth UK village and will comprise 625 forest lodges, a 75 bedroom hotel and spa with six associated spa suites and two leisure buildings including indoor sports facilities, Subtropical Swimming Paradise, restaurants and retail outlets. It will also include outdoor sports and leisure facilities and a lake.
