Skanska builds Finland’s biggest hotel

Skanska has signed a contract with KOy Apron to build a hotel developed by LAK Real Estate Oy in Helsinki Airport, Finland.

The hotel will be the largest hotel in Finland with over 700 rooms totalling about 37,800 square metres. Operated by the Nordic Choice Hotels, it will have five restaurants, spa, gym and spaces for meetings and conferences.

The building is expected to receive a LEED Gold certification.

Construction starts in the beginning of October 2021, and the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2024.
