Staycity launches third property in Germany

The aparthotel operator Staycity has opened a new-build property at Germany’s Frankfurt Airport, its third opening in 2022 bringing its total apartment count up to 5,000.

The 269-apartment Frankfurt property offers studio and one-bed apartments all with kitchens/kitchenettes, and a sitting and dining space. Facilities include a guest lounge, gym, grab and go pantry, car park, laundry room, Staycafé selling hot and cold drinks and snacks and 24-hour reception to offer a combination of self-catering and hotel.

Located seven minutes’ walk from Frankfurt Airport’s Terminal 2, the aparthotel is within easy access to central Frankfurt as well as transport hubs to other German cities and international destinations.

Frankfurt is the Dublin-based aparthotel group’s third location in Germany. In 2019 it opened its premium brand, Wilde Aparthotel by Staycity, at the former Checkpoint Charlie area on the Friedrichstrasse in Central Berlin. The 48-apartment design-led property has achieved high occupancies since opening as well as top rankings on TripAdvisor putting it firmly in the top 10 hotels in Berlin. In June 2021 Staycity added a 299-room property in Heidelberg to its estate.

Staycity now operates 30 properties across 14 European destinations, with further locations opening this year in Dublin, Paris and London. By the end of 2022 Staycity will operate 5,500 apartments across France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and the UK.
